The Ultimate Jigging 45 mm Knob Type II is CNC-machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminum and Type II anodized with a modern two-tone finish. A distinctive cup indentation boosts grip and control. Designed in the USA and made in Taiwan, it’s stylish, durable, and light at 43 g (≈1.5 oz). When installed correctly, the fit is virtually play-free (~0.01 mm).

⭕ Installation Tips

⓵ Use the included kit (D or NS/S) and the two included bearings. Follow the diagram carefully and ensure all parts are clean, aligned, and spin smoothly.

⓶ Daiwa — Saltiga/Saltist/Seaborg/Tanacom: install with the D Kit using two 8 × 5 × 2.5 bearings.

⓷ Shimano Talica (new & old): many ship with plastic sleeves (often 9/9 mm OD). Replace sleeves with one 8 × 5 × 2.5 + one 9 × 4 × 4 bearing using the NS Kit.

⓸ Shimano Saragosa SW 18000–25000: use NS Kit with one 8 × 5 × 2.5 + one 9 × 4 × 4 bearing to replace the factory sleeves.

⓹ Newer Shimano spinning (Stella/TwinPower, 2008+): factory knobs often use 9 mm OD bearings on both sides. The UJ Type II housing is 8 mm (inboard/arm side) and 9 mm (outboard/end-cap side), so install one 8 × 5 × 2.5 + one 9 × 4 × 4 (both included).
